a fatal yet psychedelic touch comforts,
on the darkest, starry night.
glowing grass tickles skin,
a moons reflection skims off of the lake.
soft crunch of the alleyway,
laughter echos beyond the hills.
praying the night is endless,
hoping the crickets won’t leave us.
soft tears meet the red bricks,
the stairs creek in sadness.
we go to sleep for one last time,
in the house we all once knew.
the happiest place on earth,
torn from us forever.
